AIBEA Announces Dharna Before Parliament Over Banking Sector Demands

The All India Bank Employees’ Association has announced a dharna before Parliament on December 10, 2025 to highlight various demands related to bank employees and policy changes.

The All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) has called for a dharna before Parliament on  December 10, 2025 to press for several demands related to recruitment, employee status, pension benefits and policy changes in various banks.

The union’s demands include nationalising all private banks, ensuring adequate recruitment of clerical and sub staff cadre, and reversing alleged victimisation in Federal Bank.

The association is also seeking early wage revision in CSB Bank, extension of ex gratia to pensioners across private banks, and the merger of Nainital Bank with Bank of Baroda. It has further called for extending the retirement age to 60 in Tamilnad Mercantile Bank and converting contract based (C2C) employees into regular employees.
AIBEA has additionally requested that the Central Board of Direct Taxes exempt pension funds in private banks.
