FBEU Holds 3rd All India Women Convention Bringing Together Delegates Across Country
The 3rd All India Women Convention of the Federal Bank Employees’ Union (FBEU) was held in Palakkad, bringing together over 200 delegates and adopting key organisational resolutions.

The Federal Bank Employees’ Union (FBEU) conducted its 3rd All India Women Convention at Palakkad, Kerala on November 22 and 23, 2025 bringing together more than 200 delegates from different parts of the country. According to the organisers, the event concluded with renewed organisational energy, collective commitment, and several key resolutions.

The convention was inaugurated by Sonia George, National Vice President and State General Secretary of SEWA. Senior leaders including B. Ramprakash, A.R. Sujith Raju (General Secretary, FBEU), P.M. Ambujam (Convener, FBEU Women’s Council), and other union representatives addressed the gathering. The programme began with presentations on activities and reports related to women employees and union initiatives.
During the convention, elections were held for the FBEU Women’s Council.
Saswati Kar (Jamshedpur Branch) was elected as Chairperson.
Ambujam P.M. (Kochi Branch), Veena R. (Manarcadu), Rimmi (Khanna), Sanober Shaikh (Waliv), Veena D. (BGR/Banaswadi), and Priya A. (Manapparai) were elected as Vice Chairpersons.
Srividhya P.V. (Kottekkad Branch) was selected as the Convener of the FBEU Women’s Council, supported by a panel of Joint Conveners and Committee Members from branches across India.
The convention passed two major resolutions: urging Federal Bank management to expedite settlement of the long pending Charter of Demands, and calling upon the Central Government to repeal Anti-Labour Codes. Delegates collectively stressed the need for stronger unity, improved working conditions, and enhanced support for women employees.
The event also included cultural segments, discussions, and organisational sessions. The Reception Committee and the Palakkad Regional Committee coordinated the arrangements for the two-day programme.
