In a powerful message of unity and humanity, the All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) Kerala unit has launched a statewide Blood Donor Directory, exclusively for bank officers and staff across the state.

Timed with World Blood Donor Day, June 14, the initiative—part of the ongoing campaign “Jeevasparsham – The Touch of Life”—aims to build a reliable, district-wise database of bank employees ready to donate blood during emergencies.

“Many willing donors are not on any Organised List”: AIBOC Kerala

Sreenath Induchoodan, General Secretary of AIBOC Kerala, told Kanal that the campaign was born out of the everyday difficulty in accessing urgent and specific blood groups.

“Many willing donors are currently not listed in any organized directory or contact list,” he said. “We recognize that building this database will take time and may grow slowly at first. However, we are committed to expanding it steadily and ensuring it reaches all corners.”

Directory Will Help Locate Donors by Blood Group and Location

Once complete, the directory will allow quick and targeted search of potential donors by blood group, district, and pincode, helping bank officers and their families in times of medical crisis. The list will be publicly accessible and routinely updated to remain relevant and effective.

Notably, AIBOC commands a membership strength of over 24,000 officers, spread across 14 district committees in Kerala, offering a strong foundation for this statewide initiative.

“We Are a United Force of Humanity”: A Call to Action

Induchoodan urged all bank officers to not just register but also share the campaign among their colleagues across banks and regions. “Let’s come together — beyond banks, beyond cadre, beyond differences — as a united force of humanity,” he said. “Because no one should bleed alone.”

One Form, One Life

Joining the donor list is simple and takes just a minute. AIBOC Kerala is circulating the form among bank officers statewide, asking everyone who is eligible and willing to step forward in this life-saving mission.
