As per sources, a series of developments have unfolded in Sambalpur, Odisha, following complaints submitted by officers against Regional Head (RH) Dharmendra Rajoria. The issue, which began in May 2025, has led to multiple inquiries, communications with top management, and increasing involvement from officers’ associations. Despite several representations, the officers’ concerns remain unresolved, whereas punitive action has been taken against a few officers by transferring them to distant locations.

In the first week of June, 2025, a departmental inquiry was conducted under the supervision of the Deputy Zonal Manager (Dy ZM) Bhubaneswar. The complainants later alleged that the inquiry report was biased, claiming their concerns were not reflected and that the findings favored RH Dharmendra Rajoria.

In the third week of June 2025, the officers sent another communication to all concerned officials, highlighting the alleged bias in the first inquiry and requesting an independent and impartial inquiry by the Central Office.

In the first week of July, 2025, several officers, including Chief Managers, a manager, and the HR officer of Sambalpur, received relieving orders through WhatsApp from HR, directing them to report to new postings by July 7, 2025.

A second independent inquiry was conducted on July 22, 2025, in which more than 50 officers participated and submitted written complaints against RH Dharmendra Rajoria. It was reported that this inquiry presented actual facts and figures concerning the situation.

Even after 75 days of the second inquiry, no official decision has been taken. Meanwhile, the All India Bank Officers’ Association (AIBOA) also extended its support, addressing a letter to the MD & CEO on October 9, 2025, as reported by Kanal on October 14, 2025.

As of now, the matter remains under review by the management, and the officers continue to demand the cancellation of transfer orders and appropriate disciplinary action against RH Dharmendra Rajoria and others allegedly involved.

Sources commented that the proverb Justice delayed is justice denied” seems to be clearly reflected in this matter.

Present Situation and Pending Resolution

The ongoing case concerning RH Dharmendra Rajoria highlights a series of unresolved grievances within the organisation. Despite multiple inquiries and repeated appeals by officers, the issue remains pending. The officers continue to seek fair resolution and necessary administrative action.
