The Pandharpur Wari is not just a pilgrimage, it is Maharashtra’s living river of devotion, discipline and community spirit. Each year, lakhs of Warkaris (devotees of God Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini) take the long walk from sacred towns like Dehu and Alandi to Pandharpur, chanting “Vitthal Vitthal Jai Hari Vitthal” with unwavering faith.
Amidst this spiritually charged atmosphere, the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Sohala stands as a beacon of tradition and unity, drawing nearly 20 lakh devotees.

In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, Team AIPNBOA Pune extended its support by distributing snacks and water bottles to the Warkaris at Shivaji Nagar and Hadapsar. The initiative wasn’t just about food, it was about care, connection, and shared purpose.
The team also carried out a cleanliness drive, helping ensure that the route remained clean and welcoming for the lakhs of devotees who walk barefoot with nothing but faith as their shield.

Local citizens and members from the union came together in this noble effort, showcasing a shared commitment to social responsibility rooted in the values of seva (service) and samarpan (dedication).
“Such acts of service reflect our deep respect for the spiritual journey of the Warkaris and our unwavering commitment to society,” said AIPNBOA Pune in a statement to Kanal.
As the palkhi marches forward, so does the spirit of collective care reminding us that true devotion lies not just in prayer, but in service.
