AIRRBEA Leader on Fighting Perquisite Tax in RRBs
Amid growing discontent among RRB employees over the unilateral tax on perquisites, N. Prakasham, Central Committee member of AIRRBEA and former GS of APGVB Officers' Association, sheds light on the long-standing fight against tax deductions on perquisites. He discusses the 2015 writ petition that led to a landmark High Court ruling, directing APGVB not to deduct perquisite tax from employees. Prakasham also highlights the urgent need to tackle unjust taxation in RRBs across India and ensure fair financial policies for bank employees.
