AIRRBEA Rajasthan Hosts First Post-Amalgamation General Body Meeting of RRB Unions
AIRRBEA Rajasthan holds India’s first post-amalgamation General body meeting in Jodhpur, elects new leadership, reaffirms commitment to National Rural Bank of India vision.

In a landmark development following the implementation of the “One State One RRB” policy, the AIRRBEA affiliated Rajasthan Gramin Bank Officers’ Association (RGBOA) and Rajasthan Gramin Bank Employees’ Association (RGBEA) successfully concluded their first joint general body meeting in Jodhpur on May 25, 2025. This marks the first such general body meeting to be held by any RRB union in India post-amalgamation of RRBs.
More than 500 delegates from across the state participated in the event, which celebrated organisational unity post-amalgamation of Baroda Rajasthan Kshetriya Gramin Bank and Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank into the newly formed Rajasthan Gramin Bank.

The General Body Meeting was graced by several prominent leaders and banking dignitaries:

The dignitaries addressed the gathering and applauded the commitment of the unions in safeguarding staff interests during the transition. They also encouraged members to strengthen their unity and collective voice in navigating the post-amalgamation landscape.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was the unanimous election of new executive committees for both RGBOA and RGBEA The unanimously elected leaders are as follows:

Relentless Struggle and Commitment to NRBI
Considering it as a milestone event, speaking to Kanal, RGBOA President Deepak Sharma said, “After decades of relentless struggle to strengthen Regional Rural Banks via amalgamation, AIRRBEA succeeded in securing the formation of a single state-level RRB in April 2025. Today, we stand on the brink of achieving the long-awaited final form of rural banks—National Rural Bank of India—which we are confident will be realised through our continued efforts in the days ahead.”
The first general body meeting of AIRRBEA Rajasthan has set an important precedent for other state units, marking the beginning of structured trade union activities in Regional Rural Banks across India following the amalgamation process.
