The All India Union Bank Employees Federation (AIUBEF) has highlighted objections regarding the implementation of the rotation transfer policy for clerical employees in Union Bank of India. The federation has addressed its concerns to the bank’s leadership, stating that the policy may not align with employee interests and could lead to dissatisfaction.

Federation Objects to Rotation Transfer Policy
The federation claims that the rotation transfer policy was implemented following earlier agreements and settlements made during the bank’s amalgamation phase. It states that the policy changes allegedly alter provisions related to transfer and rotation, affecting clerical employees.

Concerns About Employee Motivation
According to the federation, clerical employees may face demotivation if transferred without proper justification. They emphasise that such transfers may not contribute to productivity or better customer service.

Reference to Legal Proceedings
The letter mentions that legal proceedings related to the transfer policy are pending before the Labour Court. The federation notes that any policy changes or implementation should consider legal requirements.

Call for Reevaluation
The federation requests the bank’s leadership to reconsider the transfer policy to avoid complications and ensure employee morale remains intact. It says that employee satisfaction is essential to better workplace efficiency and overall customer service experience.

AIUBEF has placed its concerns on record, stating that the rotation transfer policy may impact employee morale and could lead to procedural complexity. The federation urges the bank to reassess the policy to avoid further disputes and maintain a productive work environment.
