'Calls on Leave Must Be Answered, Action if Ignored' Central Bank of India Ludhiana RM

The Central Bank of India’s Ludhiana Regional Office has issued an official order instructing its staff to attend phone calls from branches and controlling offices, even while on leave. The directive warns that switching off phones during leave will invite disciplinary action.

An official circular from the Central Bank of India’s Ludhiana Regional Office, dated 6 August 2025, has raised concerns among employees. The notice emphasises that several officials had been observed not attending calls, particularly during leave, which prompted the management to issue this directive.

In the circular signed by the Deputy Regional Manager, the order clearly prohibits switching off phones while on leave and extends the instruction to both officers and award staff. It cautions that instances of calls being ignored will be viewed seriously by the management.
