In a WhatsApp group used for internal Human Resources (HR) communication by Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank’s (UPGB) Bhinga region, multiple staff members submitted emergency leave requests. Reasons cited ranged from family health issues to personal illness and urgent travel. However, a follow-up message from the HR warned that such leave applications without Regional Manager (RM) approval would be counted as Leave Without Pay (LOP).

HR Warns of LOP Without RM Approval
Branch managers posted leave messages in the UPGB WhatsApp group. In response, the HR issued a warning that any leave taken without prior approval from the RM would be treated as Leave Without Pay.
