Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, has once again demonstrated its commitment to employee welfare and unity by announcing a festive gesture for its staff. Through its Human Resource Management Division, the bank issued a circular (No. 852/2025) dated 9th October 2025, detailing the distribution of sweets, dry fruits, and chocolates to all active employees on the joyous occasion of Deepawali.

Celebrating the Spirit of Togetherness
The circular highlights PNB’s tradition of celebrating Deepawali each year by sharing happiness with its employees. The initiative aims to enhance the festive joy and strengthen the bond of togetherness among staff members. It also reflects the bank’s appreciation for the hard work, loyalty, and dedication of its workforce.
To mark the festival, every active employee will receive confectionery items — sweets, dry fruits, or chocolates — worth ₹2,000. This small but thoughtful gesture symbolises PNB’s recognition of its employees’ contribution to the organisation’s success and its desire to celebrate important cultural occasions collectively.
Smooth Implementation Across Branches
The circular instructs all Branch Incumbents, Office In-Charges, Circle Heads, Zonal Heads, and Divisional Heads to ensure the smooth distribution of these festive items by 20th October 2025 (Monday). The process is designed to be systematic and transparent.
Each branch or office will handle the distribution and charge the expenses to their respective suspense accounts. The reimbursement will later be processed through the HRMS (Human Resource Management System) on a bill basis. This ensures that all transactions remain properly documented and accounted for.
Strict Financial Compliance
The bank has clearly stated no cash payments should be made to any employee . Instead, the distribution should strictly take place in the form of sweets, dry fruits, or chocolates. The circular also mentions that no claims for reimbursement will not be accepted after 30th November 2025, ensuring timely financial closure and compliance.
A Message of Appreciation
The circular concludes with a heartfelt message:
