RRB Amalgamation: AIRRBEA Proposes Changing Sponsor Banks in J&K, Maharashtra, and Odisha
The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has released a consultation note on the next phase of Regional Rural Bank (RRB) amalgamation. In response, the All India Regional Rural Bank Employees Association (AIRRBEA) submitted recommendations to DFS on sponsor bank selections for Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, and Odisha. The proposal also suggests merging Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank with Tamil Nadu Grama Bank to strengthen the mission and stability of RRBs in line with their founding objectives.
