A staff transfer dispute at Bank of India’s Kota branch has been formally resolved following intervention by the We Bankers Union Rajasthan and conciliation by the Assistant Labour Commissioner (Central), Kota.

On July 1, 2025, a Memorandum of Settlement was signed between Bank of India (BOI) management and the We Bankers Union Rajasthan, resolving a staff transfer dispute. The settlement followed a series of discussions and conciliation proceedings held under the Assistant Labour Commissioner (Central), Kota.

Background of the Dispute
The matter pertains to the transfer of a staff member from Bank of India’s Kota branch to Barundhan branch. The staff member raised objections to the transfer on medical grounds. Additionally, the union highlighted that the inquiry conducted by the bank was single-sided. The We Bankers Union Rajasthan raised concerns about non-compliance with procedures under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act.
