On September 5, 2024, the recovery team of Madhyanchal Gramin Bank was brutally assaulted by an NPA defaulter, sparking concerns over the increasing hostility faced by bankers.

The daylight robbery at MPGB has heightened concerns about the broader security risks facing RRBs, which bank authorities must address with greater urgency and seriousness.
