Peaceful Demonstration and Strong Workforce Unity
The dharna witnessed massive participation, with more than 300 branches closed and over 1,000 employees and officers joining the protest across different cadres. Management’s Response
According to the federations, the management showed little engagement during the strike. The Chairman reportedly remained distant throughout the protest and did not receive the memorandum on the first day. On the second day, while the strike continued, he attended a review meeting at Chitradurga, which left employees disappointed.
Memorandum Submission Despite Avoidance
In a symbolic act, employees pasted the memorandum copies on the walls of the Head Office. Later, representatives met the Chairman in Chitradurga and submitted the memorandum personally. The Chairman assured necessary action and promised a conciliation meeting within 8–10 days to discuss the pending demands.

Federation’s Statement and Future Course
The federations expressed deep gratitude to all officers and employees for making the protest a success. They emphasised that the unity displayed has sent a clear message to the management. While welcoming the Chairman’s assurance, they maintained that the agitation will continue if genuine demands remain unresolved.
Message to the Management
The federations reiterated that their demands aim to strengthen the institution and improve customer service by ensuring fair treatment and efficiency within the system. They urged the management to align internal policies, especially AOD/LOR/AOS and Finacle operations, with the Limitation Act to maintain uniformity and justice.
The historic two-day strike of Karnataka Grameena Bank employees stands as a testament to their unity, discipline, and commitment. The federations have reaffirmed their resolve to continue their struggle until all issues are resolved through constructive dialogue. The movement continues — for justice, dignity, and fairness.
