The 35th Annual General Council Meeting of the Tripura Gramin Bank Officers’ Association (TGBOA), affiliated to AIRRBOF and AIBOC, was held at Sukanta Academy, Agartala. The meeting was led by TGBOA General Secretary Atanu Dhar and President Rajib Nath.
The event was graced by the presence of Sri Srijan Kumar Pal, General Secretary of AIRRBOF, along with Sri Sanjoy Datta, Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, the General Secretary of AIBOC Tripura Unit, and other distinguished guests.
In his speech, Sri Srijan Kumar Pal highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) and assured that AIRRBOF would continue its efforts to achieve parity in service conditions and benefits with sponsor banks. His address received warm appreciation from the delegates, who praised AIRRBOF’s consistent role in safeguarding the interests of RRB officers nationwide.
General Secretary Atanu Dhar, in his detailed address, stressed the importance of collective strength among officers. He underlined the Association’s commitment to securing service benefits, improving perks, ensuring workplace and women’s safety, enhancing sanitation facilities, and pressing for better infrastructure. His firm message reflected the determination of TGBOA to defend and promote the rights of its members.
President Rajib Nath also reaffirmed the power of unity, describing it as the backbone of TGBOA’s success over the years.
According to the organisers, around 150 members attended the meeting, along with representatives of the Retirees’ Association. TGBOA clarified that while nearly 150 members were present at the meeting, the Association’s total membership is over 250.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge to continue the struggle for justice, equality, and better working conditions for RRB officers.
