The All India Regional Rural Bank Employees Association (AIRRBEA) is going to hold its 15th triennial Conference in February 2025. It comes at a crucial juncture when the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), established in 1975, mark 50 years of dedicated service to rural communities across India. With a strong presence across RRBs, the association boasts an impressive membership of approximately 75,000 members out of a total workforce of 92,000 underscoring its pivotal role in championing the rights and interests of RRB staff.
The All Karnataka Gramin Bank Employees Federation (AKGBEF) is hosting the conference that aims to discuss pressing challenges and reforms within the RRB sector. Notable agenda items include:

- Implementation of the Pension scheme for RRB retirees.
Consolidated Performance of RRBs
In recent years, RRBs have showcased a remarkable turnaround, achieving significant improvements in key areas such as business growth, credit-deposit (CD) ratio, capital adequacy ratio (CRAR), and non-performing assets (NPA). Highlighting this progress, AKGBEF shared a detailed table outlining the performance metrics of RRBs for the financial year 2023-24, presented below.
